SDGs Initiatives
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are an international framework adopted at the United Nations Summit in September 2015, covering the period from 2016 to 2030.
They consist of 17 goals and 169 targets aimed at achieving a sustainable world, under the pledge to “leave no one behind.”
Through our business activities, we are actively engaged in contributing to the SDGs.

Gender Equality
Decent Work and Economic Growth
Partnerships for the Goals
We believe that creating an environment where everyone can participate and contribute, regardless of gender, is essential for the growth of both companies and communities.
Through our parenting brand papakoso, we develop products that support fathers in taking an active role in childcare.
Encouraging men’s involvement in childcare is closely connected to gender equality and the empowerment of women.
A society in which fathers naturally take part in parenting can also contribute to broader goals such as work–life balance, responses to demographic change, and the creation of a more sustainable society.
We work in partnership with Kanagawa Prefecture, the City of Yokohama, chambers of commerce, manufacturing partners, testing organizations, and NPOs to develop better products and services while aiming to achieve both meaningful work and economic growth.
For some of our packaging tasks, we collaborate with regional support centers in Yokohama.
These initiatives are part of vocational training and social participation programs, contributing to a more inclusive local community.

No Poverty
Zero Hunger
Sustainable Cities and Communities
We design and develop products and services with the aim of making our society a place where children can be born and raised with ease.
Going forward, we also hope to take one step further and consider what we can leave for the children of the future.
In some regions around the world, even basic materials used at childbirth—such as cotton or gauze—are still in short supply.
When today’s children grow up, we want them to live in an environment that is as livable and supportive as possible.
For that future to become a reality, it is a significant question for adults to ask what we can do, and what we should do.

Responsible Consumption and Production
Life Below Water
Life on Land
We develop products that are made to last, rather than to be disposable.
We are also working to reduce plastics by choosing packaging materials that allow for circular use.
Recycling waste as a resource is also an important part of this effort.
For our own products, we are exploring different ways that items filled with personal meaning—such as our Papa Bags or baby carriers—can take on a new form or be passed on to another family.
We also engage in activities that raise awareness about paper recycling.
At outdoor events, we organize small games for parents and children to learn about recycling in a fun way, including how to sort materials and how used paper is collected and reused.
